Mehmet Ali Bulut Elfabe Pdf 11
mehmet ali bulut elfabe pdf 11The Mehmet Ali Bulut Elfabet is a Turkish dictionary and the first book printed in Turkish. It was published in Istanbul in 1568 by efendi (master) Mehmet Ali Bulut, entitled el-İslamiye fi kitabetuhu (The Islamic Dictionary for the Hereafter). The book has been at the center of many controversies over its name, publication date and content since its release. The latest controversy came when it was revealed that about 1.5% of its words were unknown or un-translated even to this day which suggests that either some words have evolved without change or never existed in modern Turkish at all. The book is said to be the first printed Islamic dictionary in the Ottoman Empire, and it is still praised today for its quality and content. The date of publication and details of its author remain a mystery after more than 400 years. First mention of the book comes from a reference found in "Seyahatname" (Travelogue) written by Ahmed Resmi Efendi in 1651. In his writing, the author thanks Mustafa Izzet Bey for showing him this book. Another person known to have possessed the dictionary was Mustafa Sadık Pasha, who was one of the grand viziers of Ottoman Sultan Mahmud II during 1808–1839 period. The dictionary is written in Ottoman Turkish, which was the common language of the empire. The author does not come from any one-particular region, instead he wrote it to serve as a universal communicator. It is divided into 6 parts or volumes followed by an explanation of hand signals used in Muslim prayers under the title of Dua ve Mesakat (Rituals And Gestures). All 6 volumes contain about 10,000 words each. Mahmoud Aga, who was an Ottoman Egyptian writer and linguist, described this book in his writing “"El-Mesahref fi el-Lugat el-Turkiyye"” (The Guide to Turkish Language) published in 1849. Along with the book’s existence, it is said that Mehmet Ali Bulut wrote over 1,000 works. He educated thousands of young people in the Ottoman Empire. He also translated into Turkish many books from Arabic, Persian and Greek. After his death, his son Mustafa II compiled the dictionary into a single volume consisting of 5 volumes called "El-Hâkâk el-Kadim" (The Greatest Dictionary), which was completed in 1811. The official historic date of the publishing is disputed however as romanized versions of Ottoman Turkish are known to have been around since at least 1579. The first Ottoman printing press was established by Yașar Kemal Pasha in 1802. Mehmet Ali Bulut is believed to be buried in the Chora church of Istanbul, which is one of the most significant places in Turkish history. The tomb was built on his tomb by his son Mustafa II.
